Ipod Help

Hi, Well..
My dads got a stereo which has a usb port in, for connecting your mp3 or whatever and it should play music through it.

However, When my dad tries plugging his ipod into it, it doesnt play music, i think it just charges it.

How do we solve this?

It might not be compatible with ipods, because they usually need
an ipod stereo system. And they usually have an ipod connection like the lead you plug into the PC. Check to see if the stereo you have works with ipods.

It'll come up with the charging screen, but just hit the circle button and it should go to the menu. Go to a song, play it and it should hopefully work.
