    Default Just got a "removable brace"

    Yeh just got one, its before i get the train tracks thing apprantly it will move my teeth back..ive only got it on the top teeth, but omg it makes me speak like such a idiot! I have like a huge lisp and salava is like pouring out my mouth Anybody have the same thing as me?

    I had a retainer when I was about 13 if that's what you mean You get used to speaking like an 'idiot' after a while!

    haha yeh ive had retainers, but dont they give them to you after train tracks to keep your teeth in place?
    thats what they did with me.

    I had it for top and bottom and had to wear it all day when I was in year 4

    I got used to speaking properly and at the start I had a rag with me which I could spit into. When I didn't need them anymore my mouth felt so big! I had to get used to the top of my mouth again as I was so used to the smooth plastic. GL with yours.

    Thanks! Nope its a "removable appliance" I think its used to some people before traintracks to do a different job im not quite sure, sounds like a retainer but its not.

    I had that i could never eat with it i had to take it out even though i got told to eat with it in. After a while you will be able to talk properly.

    oh, I remember mine, I HATED it, it gave me a huge lisp and it kept on slipping out while I was talking, which was of course humiliating

    Yeh mine feels like its gunna come out, but it doesnt, like in the morning my mouth iisss soo dry, and i hate taking it out coz makes me feel im interfeering with the whole process of moving my teeth back and my voice sounds stupid alll the time, my dad was like " areu always gunna speak like that?"

    Omg, i hated having my braces they annoyed me ! Ive not had them like 2 years now though and my teeth are fine :8
