    Default How interesting.. my desktop icons have a mind of their own

    For some unknown reason every time i start my pc my desktop icons are in a different place.


    Has anyone got an explanantion?

    Like you said, they have a mind of their own.
    Be kind to them and dont feed them after midnight.

    Mines done that once, try uninstalling all the unwanted things and it should sort itself out.

    I think it's UltraMon, mine did that on my old XP computer, because it likes to play with the resolutions when it loads so it ends up chucking them around a bit.

    My dads girlfriends PC does this sometimes, I'll see if she has UltraMon on her PC... it's weird though, she thinks I go onto her computer and move them around... yeah right.

    When I had ultramon it just put them all into Alphabetical order

    Vista has a max folder bug that XP had too, it can only store 100 folder views, so each time you go to view a folder the view may be different

    What Tawm said is correct.
    Look in add & remove and get rid of unwanted junk.
    Could fix the bug and free up some memory space.
