Not sure if I'm posting in the right forum but here goes....

My laptop keeps rattling....I can't really explain it...It sounds like something has moved inside and its just really noisy....Is it about to blow up on me? and what the hell is it? :S:eusa_wall

    Hey abbie!

It could be something inside the laptop that is loose. I'd take it to a local computer shop and get them to open it up and have a look for ya. I doubt it will blow up on you though so you should be safe until you get time to take it down there.

If you've got a mouse or something, move it away from the laptop and listen to see if it is that. They often rattle loudly when they're about to break and you immediately think it's the laptop. Otherwise, something, probably a fan has become loose inside and you'll have to open up the laptop to fix it.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

    Seconded.

If it isn't the mouse go to a local computer shop and get them to whack it open

Well since the only moving parts in a computer are the hard drives and the fans, then it has to be one of those. My guess would be the fans because if your hard drive was making that noise then you would have noticed it by getting a BSOD or not being able to boot in to windows at all.

yep. mine was loose aswell, had to whack the back of it for it to shut up, wouldnt recommend doing that to a laptop though, did it to mine and it just cut out and I had to take out the battery and put it back in for it to re-boot
