    Default Anti virus for vista?

    Getting this computer: http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default...UCT&KEY=348637

    I need an anti-virus for it which will work nicely, and I don't want to be downloading it and having to worry about some Pin and where to point my browser to if I mess up my computer so I can download it again, I want a box with discs in it I can keep safe, take back easily and re-install easily and quickly with. That rules out Nod-32. Also, I play World of Warcraft which requires use of relatively quick internet access and I heard that Kaspersky lagged peoples games and internet access?

    So basically I want an anti-virus that;
    Won't hugely lag my internet, hopefully not at all
    That I can buy in the shops or have ordered online so it arrives at my house (Basically something material, discs etc )
    And something that doesn't hog RAM or resources massively like Norton which sucks anyway.
    Has to work with vista.

    Any suggestions? I know that's a little picky but I don't want to waste my money

    Thanks,
    Will.

    I can send you my NOD32 with a crack and you can burn that to a data disc and keep that safe? That would keep your options open.

    Currently for general use Kaspersky and NOD32 are best viral detection engines in contrast with resource usage - Avast is a mid-rated anti-virus as is McAfee, Norton is one of those things generally to avoid. Kaspersky has better self-protection than NOD32 however, but the detection noise will drive you nuts - sounds like a pig squealing.
