Couldn't you make it so that the announcement for it isn't 2 minutes before the doors open?
It takes a while for users to check for new announcements,
Maybe about 2 hours - 4 hours before?

Can you please show me when this has happened?
Links etc... Sometimes they are a bit late but not 1-5 mins before that I seen off probz rarely... But provide links please for me to see.I don't accept pm's, instead leave a message on my profile aka vistor message thing.

i mean, all these are events with less than 1 hour notice.
Shouldn't it be like 2 hours notice, that way it will get more members! (as they actually know about it!)

Events are advertised in advance on habbox.com on the Habbox today section (on the right of the home page).

They are also usually listed / noted in the Habbox calender which you can either look at, at the bottom of the index or by clicking the link on the navbar.

When I do HxHD events I usually post the announcement 30 mins before otherwise it'll get bumped down by something else..
