    Default tv help

hey ive connected my laptop to my tv and the sound and all that is fine. however when i show dvds on it i want the tv screen to stay on the dvd while i can do other things on my laptop like get things set up etc etc.

if that doesnt make sense then.

i want to basicly 'freeze' the tv but not the laptop

Is the DVD on the Laptop, and pulling up things on the Laptop too? Or is the DVD on a DVD Player?

Instead of duplicating the current screen does your graphics card allow you to create an extended desktop with the vga connection as the second screen does it only support the one screen which it duplicates (eg what is on your screen is on tv) if so then not really.

hmm, i dont quite understand what you want.
If you are on vista, go to personalize on right click --> Display Settings

Then click on the screen numbered 2 and enable and see what happens

(please be aware i have no idea how to mset up a second screen but you could enlarge the video player on the TV i guess)

If you are wanting to just use the TV as your screen instead of extended, then you will need an "always on top" program
