An explosion at a restaurant in Exeter has injured at least one person.
The explosive device went off at about 1250 BST after a man walked into the Giraffe restaurant in the Princesshay shopping mall, police said.
Emergency crews are at the scene and nearby premises have been evacuated. At least one person has been taken to hospital for treatment
The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital said it was not expecting a significant number of casualties.
Devon and Cornwall Police said more resources are being sent to the area.
A spokesman said it was too early to speculate on what had happened and ensuring the safety of the public was the priority.
