A good old fashioned visit to the DR!

But i'd rest it, ice it, and just don't stress it too much.

If your knee is like, swolen, you may have water on the knee. The specialists thought my sister had that, but she had arthritis instead. If it is water on the knee, and tablets don't calm it down, you may have to have corticosteroid injected into it, my sister had to have it done, but they put her to sleep for it.

Do you play alot of sport?
My knees were painful all the time, i went physio and found out i had CP KNEE, you might have heard of it if you play football. But yeah, i recommend going to a Physio just for a check-up. Rather be safe than sorry, right?

If your a active person or even if your not you could have OS (Osgood Schlatters) Its found in teenagers and can last for a short amount of time or long amount can even effect you later on in life, See your GP And if he/she says you have OS you have physo every week or two and you have to do knee exercises everyday.
    hope that helped

I had this in year 9/10 for 2 years due to too much tennis and football
Its when your growing, and bone grows quicker or something and you do too much excersie on it.

If its swollen, and really tender when you touch it just rest it - you can still do sport but not as much , and it usually goes within a year
