    But is it as efficient?

    Server resources:

I have my own dev server, and my own 2 asset servers.

    both... 256 ram, 512 burstable? i think...
4 core, all 3 of those are virtual running off of ONE main server.

So all in all I have one dedi to work with.
How could this hapen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?lol.

It's complicated but mainly it's going to be spidering users on Facebook's basic stuff so that I can explain that in a meeting and then they can adapt the current product to what users want.. Eg It'll be searching stuff like users comments about the product etc.

Ah, like a web trawler? Looking for words used on websites to view what comments were made?

As Jay said, I'd look on google to see which is more efficient and uses less server resource.
