    Default +rep Help needed

Basically I have 120+ days left in Norton and now it is unistalled on my computer

Now AVG is installed on my computer
    Link: http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe

Basically it is the free version and in some things it says:

"Hacker attacks prevention (not available with AVG Free)"

    etc...

    My questions are:
    1) Is that a major thing above?

    2) Am I more likely to get keylogged?

    3) Can AVG free *which I am using* still protect me from getting keylogged?

    4) Shall I go back to Norton which I paid for and have over 120+ days left or is there no point? I ain't bothered about having the days left and no point saying waste of money etc... if safety is better with AVG

    5) When installing AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe is the key meant to be filled in automatically?

+rep for all answers if I can +rep you

    1) Probably not.

    2) Keyloggers aren't classed as viruses. Therfore Anti-Virus software does not catch them as easy. AVG however searches for other dangerous things when scanning. But the best way to protect against keyloggers is common sense.

    3) Yes. But really, you should use common sense. Don't accept any files from people - even if you know them.

    4) Anything is better than norton. It's just a shame you paid for a license.

Yeah. I'd personally rather run unproteted than run Norton. Keep AVG.

One tip: Don't have more than one anti-virus installed at one time, it plays hell with your system.

I personally use avast, but on the family PC we use AVG free and it has no problems I know of. As said before just common sense to prevent keyloggers. I believe AVG does find them in scans though, but just removing them with AVG won't remove all traces, but neither would Norton anyway. I personall completely hate Norton, and would never use it again. I'd much rather have AVG

    1) Is that a major thing above? Not really, considering windows firewall will pretect against that.

    2) Am I more likely to get keylogged? No more likely using AVG than Norton no.

    3) Can AVG free *which I am using* still protect me from getting keylogged? It will pick up keyloggers but not totally remove them, But neither would Norton.

    4) Shall I go back to Norton which I paid for and have over 120+ days left or is there no point? I ain't bothered about having the days left and no point saying waste of money etc... if safety is better with AVG? I wouldn't advise going back to norton, stick with AVG. It protects just as well, and is easier on your pc.

    5) When installing AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe is the key meant to be filled in automatically? Yes it is for the free edition.

I hope this answers your questions.
