I can't find the exact episodes but Max and May leave around the 9th series and Dawn joins during Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl.

Dawn is introduced in the very first episode of the DP series, so I assume it's then. I didn't watch it all though, Ash and whoever come in some time after the first half.

pokemon: diamond and pearl annoys me. i really wish they hadnt changed the voice actors.

Yeah, the original voice actors were excellent! It had to happen some time though. Be happy they stayed for 9 years!

Yeah that's the weird thing about Pokemon. No one's interested in joining them until someone leaves.
