Won't connect to laptop

Hey All

I'm using the leads that I got with my mobile and I'm putting it through the laptop via USB and the phone. It shows up on My Computer but when I try and access it I get a error message saying that the device cannot be accessed or something.

Its actually quite important that I get it on to the laptop and I can access my files. (Pictures and videos etc)

Seriously try it with another cable. My iPod Touch did this with its cable, used my Nano cable with it, set it up and ever since i've been using my Touch cable. God knows why it didn't work the first time >.<

Sometimes you need to install some drivers. I did with my k800i.
