    I'm looking to buy a laptop

    my price range is anything up to £400

    can you link me to places like PC world, comet, currys, DELL, etc - i know better stuff is on overclockers and stuff but i want to play it safe and my dad doesnt like sites like overclockers

    Yeah i'd say go with that. The extra gig may not be needed though but it's up to you.

    A good choice in the way of Dell, but like you say there are better deals out there.

    I've bought loads of computers from http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/ and they're always happy to help if something goes wrong.. But yeah, it's your own choice!
