    Default Favourite Directors

Who are your favourite directors, or screenwriters as well, and in many cases of course, writer-directors, and why?

I'll edit this later today with reasons for my choices, but as I must dash, I will just include the names for now.

    - Quentin Tarantino
    - Steven Spielberg
    - Dario Argento
    - Robert Rodriguez
    - Lucio Fulci
    - Alfred Hitchcock
    - Frank Darabont

That is about the most rediculous thing I have ever read. Just about everyone with an I.Q. of above 30 has an opinion of directors, and are partial to the work of particular ones. Directors wouldn't have a following if "no one cared about what happens behind the scenes".

Oh yeah throw the patronising crap at me because I don't really care about the makings of films. I don't watch a particular film just because one director has made it, I'm not obsessive like that.

And don't even try getting patronisingly ****** as me, because to be perfectly honest this is a FORUM where people express their opinions and if you don't agree then you're free to state that but saying crap like OOOH U HAV AN IQ UNDA 30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is just plain out of order..

100% Agreed. You don't have to like the director to like the film. So really, it doesn't matter who directs it as long as it's a good movie.
