Default Re: Stuck thread in 'Movies' forum

    http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=493594

I am not too sure why this thread has been stickied in just this one particular forum because when a user signs up to HabboxForum, they agree to the rules and the consequences so why a user should be repeatedly warned and especially in such a personal way that Coldlay did is beyond me.

Surely if this is in place then it should be in the form of a global announcement. If anything, the thread is more of a threat than a warning with:

    Stop it, seriously
otherwise I'm going to be dishing out warnings,
I'm a reasonable person, and you can't say that I haven't warned you all.
I think if a new user came and read that thread they'd feel rather intimidated and threatened more than warned.

It's only a small thing anyway, I just think it's not right in the way it's done.

Yeah, and it seems one of those posts that try to make them seem higher than alot of people and try to get them higher in staff (imo). I prefer the laid back moderators that do their job while not changing them... brandon, jesus etc.

I noticed this earlier, it seems to me he's trying to flaunt his power.

I'm surprised that Alex approved this, if he didn't then this thread wouldn't of been made because he's a new moderator etc but Alex approved of it.

Last week or perhaps before I mentioned it to people and they felt the same.
I was going to post it here but I didn't want to and not be agreed with.
I find it unprofessional, threatening and unnecessary.
It gives the feeling that he wants to feel superior and alienates the users and seems like it has intent to make them feel inferior.

It has been stuck in Movies, Television and Big Brother.
If the bloody thread title says [SPOILERS] then he should not come raging in and putting spoiler tags on everything. Obviously needs the mod logs. He needs to be taught not to be so reckless with his powers and needs to be told right from wrong.

There are quite a few aggressive people who are posting in this category
Opening line... Hah, coming from him and that thread? You're having a laugh. It should not have been stuck, it should not have been posted, he should not be a moderator.

The aim of the new 'system' was to "bridge the gap between staff and users".
Why the hell has that been posted and stuck?!? Hypocritical and stupid.

Well I think its something that Alex should address. It certainly is breaking with tradition allowing a mod to post warnings like this and does not do a lot enhance the member/staff relationship. The other consideration is were the other mods on that section consulted about this? That is just my view though

Coldplay isn't a new Mod is he? i thought he had been around for a while.
in his defence, there has been a lot of arguments in the Movies forum with one member in particular thinking they know everything about films, and, rightly so, a lot of users are getting pretty hacked off about it.
but perhaps he should've addressed the forum member(s) that have been heavily involved, either by PM or asking someone higher up in the hierachy to PM them, rather than mass address the forum.

oh my god, get me with my equal views about the situation!
what has becoming a moderator done to me?!

Well I agree with you but also problems like this should really be addressed to Smods and Management to be dealt with. That's my view
