    17kb on a 8MB connection... restart your router (turn off for 30 secs and turn on) if that fails phone them up. I'm sure they will help
    Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

    www.speedtest.net post the result. You got P2P programs running, or does anyone else that is using the same connection? LimeWire, BitTorrent etc?

    But before I had any of them connected its the same.

    BigBrother, My answer is absalutely correct and it may not be what you want to hear;
    At my house we are sort of in the country (only a little) and since the place where the signal comes from is really far away, it is a really rubbish conection. I am on BT Home Bub and we should get like 8mb and it comes at around 0.7 mb. The further away your house is from the place the signal comes from it obvioulsy gets weaker so you must be quite far away.
    Here is a speed tester, It should let you know your download speed and upload speed and overall speed.

    Hope this helps, we should start doing something about this as we are paying for the better connection but are only getting a little weak connection.

    The speedtest hes already done tells you that its less than 50 miles to his nearest exchange, id just phone them and get some answers, if they cant improve your speed tell them your going to switch to the cheapest option
