    Exclamation Being Banned

I got banned from Habbo UK for saying to someone "Do you want (NAME)'s Number?" "OJ". Habbo said I gave out personal information :L but I didn't??

I sent a email to them, here it is

My Habbo, name is CoolGibson I've been banned from Habbo, Hotel for 30 days; the reason was because I gave out personal details, supposedly. The ban said I gave out my phone number out but I didn't. What I said was "Ben do you want Kate's Number" "OJ", I feel this is really unfair as I didn't give out the number. I also use Habbo to talk to my real-life friends that live in my town and other friends that live in different parts of the world, I also have lots of Habbo Club on this account that I bought with my own money, I find this unfair that I've paid for this and now I can't use it, Now I have to use another account to play Habbo and all of my friends, furniture and Habbo Club are on my other account. This is all happening because I said "Ben do you want Kate's Number" "OJ", I never said the number! I find this really silly I'm being banned because of this. Please will you unban me.

Please reply as soon as possible to discuss this further

    Yours Faithfully

    Michael Gibson

    Habbo User

Then they sent me a automatic email back :L, They didn't even look at my email.

    Hi Habbo,

    Thank you for your email.

Any Habbo account that is seen offering, sharing, asking for or giving out personal information on Habbo is banned.

Personal information includes (but isn't limited to), telephone numbers, addresses, email, birth dates and full names. If you give out this information on Habbo you will be banned.

The reason we ban users for giving out personal information is because it can be extremely dangerous. There is no way of knowing that the person you are chatting with is really who they say they are. It is very easy for another user to lie about their identity and no matter how long you have known them or how much you trust them you should NEVER tell them ANY personal information. The Habbo console is the perfect way to keep in contact with your Habbo friends and it does not require any personal details to be shared.

If you see another Habbo user giving out personal information or another Habbo user asks you for personal information you should use the call for help immediately and a member of our Moderation team will come to assess the situation.

Please remember that if another user asks "asl" or reveals their "asl" this is deemed to be acceptable on Habbo Hotel as long as they do NOT go into any further details about themselves.

    Yours,

Who thinks Habbo is lazy and that my ban was unfair?

You offered to give personal details, I think that is a fair ban.

BTW in your email you said:

    My habbo, name is coolgibson...

The comma makes it look very strange.

No, you deserve to be banned for being stupid and trying your luck. Anyone who does that deserves to be banned; deal with it.

Whether it was a joke or not, seems to me sadly you were fairly banned. MOD did their job and that's what they are paid for.
