It has got shadow, but it hasn't got a lot.

There is n water depth =/ looks wierd but still a good start

but one thing that bothers me;
the light comes from the left and on that ball from the right

Yeah, the water lacks depth and the ripples look unnatural. Try looking at some of the fountains on Habbo and borrow their bubbling effect, or make your own?
And, the darkest shade of blue on the cascade is a bit too dark - I think all the shades need to be blended a lot better.
Maybe add texture to the grey areas, it looks like a Plasto table at the top - give it a stone or marble effect?

The alt's style is a new, just made texture, linear and clean, I don't want to add additional texture as I will loose the effect I'm going for. I have made some edits to the alt, and I've asked a mod to change the image, when the mod comes online and does it is the question
