    Default Micro PC Building

Hiya, I'm wanting to build over time a little Media PC for my bedroom. This would be for editing the occasional word document, talking on MSN, browsing the web a little bit, watching DVDs and TV. Nothing demanding at all.

I want to build it myself and I've never done that so I want to see if I can find better deals and if all the stuff is compatible.

I want to use Vista Home Premium and Micro ATX, I'd rather not have a upright case but if I save much money I'm prepared to, I'd prefer cube or flat cases. Over time I plan to hook it up to a monitor and TV so dual-screen will be needed, hence the reason for a graphics card.

Are all the different bits compatible and I need to get the price down, anything over a £1 is worth doing, any big savings and you can have VIP

I was a little confused over the mobo and processor so I picked them but as long as it works with Vista and is as cheap as possible I don't mind, can be from any trusted site.

Looks an ok set of components for the purpose.

It would be well worth spending just £4 more on the CPU. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134746

Also, maybe consider getting an IDE DVD-RW drive rather than sata, since the board only has two sata sockets and if you want another HDD in the future you're screwed unless you get an IDE HDD.

Okay I've upgraded to the Athlon 64, I'm already using two of them as it is and they're great.

I've also changed to an IDE DVD-RW, saving me £1

    Thanks +rep
