    Default Thinking of buying a Mac

    Just a few questions.

    1) What is the best choice to go for, if I'm just using for browsing the internet etc?

    2) Can you upgrade them eg: RAM and HD?

    3) How do they compare to normal laptops?

    1) iMac for desktop, MacBook for laptop, both entry spec.

    2) Yes on both of these you can.

    3) I'll give you a graphical representation:
    "Normal" laptop:
    ||
    MacBook:
    |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

    And likewise with "normal" desktops and iMacs.
    How could this hapen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?lol.

    1. Well any of them really. Mac Mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro or even the iMac. It all depends on oyur budget. Since I own a Mac Mini I suggest buying a MacBook.

    2. Yes you can upgrade the RAM on all of the products I have listed. HD? Not sure, Im sure you can but never tried it. You can always use a USB 2.0 or firewire external hard drive.

    3. How to the compare? Well If you want to try something new with a great operating system, great interface and very easy to understand. Then get a Mac. You will hardly have any problems and if you do there easy to fix. Viruses, there is hardly any for the mac so no need for any 3rd party software to scan the system.

    If you do have any more questions, add me to msn at [email protected] , which I think you have done that already.

    I'm getting a MB Pro, go for a mac, windows is horrible. Regretted buying this machine i'm using now. (windows).

    You can upgrade the HDD but only once when you buy it, if you buy it you can ask for one with a larger HDD.

    It all depends how you look after your laptop.

    and to ^ its only slow if you dont run defrag programs and such. I've had mine for a month and it's still as fast as when i took it out of the box.

    Yes but a mac is always like that.

    For your first i suggest either a mac mini or a imac for a desktop. If you want the more style and compact ability i would go imac. For a laptop then a macbook would be you best bet.

    Overall for you i would recoment a standared imac but maybe have 2gb ram on it.

    Apple do a 90-day deal in the US. Not sure about the UK. I'd advise you to go to your bank they'll give youa better deal, although go with Apples deal ONLY if you CAN definitely be ABLE to pay back WITHIN 90 DAYS!! Else you'll lose your house.

    MacWarehouse is a rip off, you may as well just get it from Apple.
    That went fast.
