PS2 to PS3 Guitar Hero Adapter

Is there an adapter i can buy which lets me use my guitar hero 1 guitar on guitar hero 3? I know there are adapters but i wasn't sure if they can only be used to play the ps2 games on the ps3.

Yes there is, i have one. It's actually called guitar hero ps2 to ps3

I was looking at a few but all of them say the guitar strum bar doesn't work and the buttons just act as a normal ps3 controller would (stums automatically).
