Upgrading to iPhone 3G

I am currently on an O2 sim only deal, which is classed as the online deal.

Baring in mind it is a sim only, means it is only a 1 month rolling contract.

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to upgrade to an iPhone if I just tie myself into an 18 month contract?

yeah, simply upgrade your tariff to one of the iphone ones. i'm sure that's possible as i've heard of people upgrading from sim only > iphone on different forums.

call o2 customer support and ask them if you're uncertain. by the way, the iphone 3g is great. i got mine today.
