Default We Should've Saved The World Yesterday

    Attention, civilians and goverments
Our world is corrupt and dark
It is now wrong and broken
    We've stripped away nature's bark

To the east, we have war
    With soldiers dying and dead
And their wife and children grieving
For an unknown cause, yet to be said

To the south, we have poverty
    Where water is treasure
And charity is the only helper
    Will it stop? Never

To the west, we have economies crashing
With countries falling, and food prices rising
Our own country, falling into depression
    With still the taxes, thriving

To the north, we have ice
    Which is melting and gone
    Spreading floods and chaos
    Action is taking too long

    So we must act now
    To save our place
    We've only got one
    Point haste

    Maybe when I'm old
With my eyes red and my hair grey
My heart taking it's last beat
I'll think, we should've saved the world, yesterday

Quite a good poem, I liked the last verse especially.

The rhyme scheme seems forced and clumsy.
