    I'm a bit confused, my tv has a 1080p Input but is labelled "HD Ready" and not "Full HD" why is this?

    Because it can take any HD input, but can't display a full 1920x1080 resolution. The screen is most likely something like 1366x768.

    It wont be the full HD resolution.
