    One thing, vista home premium will only recognise will only recognise up to 4gb of memory in total won't it? Including video memory?

    Any 32bit OS will only go upto 4GB RAM with Video memory, over 4GB, you need 64bit

    Right, it's just ive decided to upgrade my computer a bit. Im doing some jobs this week so i should earn like £60 of that.. I'll buy the ram now and a new gfx card next week

    That's mmk, the new i'm getting a "Zotac 8800GT 512MB DDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card" so it would only recognise 3.5 anyways

    It will know it's there and tell you there is 4GB but it won't use all of what you have so there's no point.
