got my new 5 port ethernet switch, works fine, however (i have pc, modem and 360 plugged in) i can get internet fine on pc, but cant connect to xbox liveanyone know why? +REP

go into your router settings, usually using the address: http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.2.1 or, alternatively go to Start > Run > type "cmd" then when in the command prompt, type "ipconfig" and use the "Default Gateway" as the address.
post when you are on the settings.

You will need to reconfigure the connection settings on xbox live, where exactly does it fail connecting? (do a connetivity test).

Ok, make sure that in the settings that your:
DHCP Server is Enabled.
NAT is Enabled.
UPnP is Enabled.
