Update mania?

Every game I put in I literally have to d/c and update the game. Even ones i've played for ages.

Anyone know what I can do about it?!

I was getting well pissed off about this on msn to Bren, I play cod4 it's all good, I put GTA IV in then I get a update then when I put cod4 in I get a update, it's well annoying. It only takes 6 seconds or so but that's not the point..

Does it do it every time or just like the first time you put the game in, if its just first time put them all in and then your set?
