    Default iTunes Duplicates?

    Hey,

In my iTunes Library I have lots of duplicate songs. I know that I can go to View >> Show Duplicates and then select them all manually but is there a way to do it automatically?

Its not exactly causing problems, just making my library look messy and taking up some extra space.

    Thanks

    I think there's a right click > delete duplicates.

I don't think there is a way to do it automatically, the best way to get ride of them in put them in name order then selete the song you want to delete & press ctrl on the next song ect then delete

You can do View > Show Duplicates, CMD+A / CTRL+A (Select all) and then delete?

No because it shows all duplicates so it will show both songs, if you select all and delete you will totally delete BOTH songs.

I'd just hold control, click em all, then delete... unless you already do

I don't see why it would delete both songs, if they have different file names... if the file name is identical, something's wrong I think.
