I think it's decent for a first go, but it's not what I'd look for in a layout, if this wasn't then I'd have to slate it, as it does look pretty terrible.

The header font looks atrocious, the colour scheme is horrible.
The header boxes of content etc, look like an attempted go at Habbo Boxes
the inner shadows are utter disgusting.
