.Avi codec packs for Vista?

Well on this current comp I currently can't play .avi files and from past expiernce on my XP comp I know I have to install a codec pack.
I don't want to install a random pack from a dodgy site so I want to know what site you guys downloaded yours from to get .avi files working for you .

Is what I have but idk if that works .avi, .avi files work on my comp so I assume it does.

Have it on my Xp comp but it's annoying and buggy

I've downloaded ended up downloading http://www.free-codecs.com/Vista_Cod...e_download.htm as well it does the job and I don't want anything complicated
