Halo 3 Catch Skull [+Rep]

Okay I've been trying to get this for hours.

Me and Jordan(Tbh) were playing through the campaign and trying to get the skulls, we had got all the skulls upto the Catch Skull which is on the forth level? We tried in co-op for about 2 hours and it would not spawn at all. (I was hosting)

Then I suggest going into single player and seeing if we can get it that way, Jordan got the skull first time round, but for me the skull did not spawn once.
After about 30 minutes of trying single player we went back to co-op this time with Jordan hosting the game. We got to the part where you just come out onto the beach area through the third gate and Jordan can see the skull.

So he does what he did on single player, I took out the ghosts to make it easier for him yet when he finally got up there it had gone.

Note: I have tried pretty much every method I know of and have read about. E.G. Not destroying the wraiths, destroying the anti air wraith, getting to where the skull spawns before the blue wraith appears. Shooting the grunts out of the ghosts and the brutes out of the turrets of the wraiths but leaving the wraiths intact YETstill the Catch skull does not spawn.

+Rep for anyone that can tell me a method I have not tried, or a reason as to why the skull is not appearing for me.

P.S Jord if you say it's because i'm the "W" word i'm going to lock you outa my house when you come round next week, or i'ma lock you and jen in a room together your choice.

I forgot to mention that I have only tried it on the Normal difficulty, I shall try the harder difficulties tomorrow... Well later today.

Is that the one thats like really high up? My mate talked about one that you could only kill certain things and whatnot, dunno if its thatone.

I could help, I had trouble with it aswell because Dan kept destroying the wraiths :eusa_wall

but yeah sometimes it doesn't spawn and idk why, when i didnt know how to do it i took like 10 mins piling up ghosts and warthogs so i could get to the top and it wasn't there.

Just stand on a warthog, and butterfly jump with the other person to the top, but if it doesn't spawn then the games ******/the wraiths have been destroyed.

Okay I've managed to find some information reguarding the Catch Skull on the bungie.net halo 3 forums and I thought I'd post here as it seems alot of people are having trouble with this.

Wow! Seriously...? You guys realize that the gold text means that I work at Bungie, right? I've literally looked at the source code that causes this glitch.

No one ever said that YOU have to beat the game first. What we said was HE needs to beat the game on normal first. What happened is that he beat the game on easy and then tried to get the skull. There is a glitch where the Catch skull won't appear if you've beaten the game on (and only on) easy. Therefore, he needs to beat the game on normal before the skull will appear.

I repeat: if your highest campaign difficulty completed is EASY, the catch skull will not show up until you've beaten the campaign on normal, heroic, or legendary.

Go ahead, try it for yourself if you don't believe me.

Always begin levels from the start otherwise the skulls don't spawn.

Don't destroy the anti-air wraith. It took me one or two tries to realise.
Once the wraiths have been destroyed, it disappears.
