How much money you got to spend?

Eastern have a lot of good bikes out, the eastern ramrodder looks good and is about £260.

If you're planning on taking BMXing seriously i'd suggest you start with a Mongoose, relatively cheap compared to others and quite light.

You'll have to remove the front brake yourself on any bike you buy due to the law in the UK stating bikes must have a front and back brake.

I'd recommend you buy your first in black or a dark red, and if you've never been on up a half-pipe before make sure you go up diagonally and not straight up, you'll fall flat on your back, and it hurts, rookie mistake that I made my first time

Been BMXing for over 4 years now so I think I have enough knowledge to recommend a bike etc before anyone starts arguing with me.

Trials biking is also pretty awesome, you can carry those bikes with your little finger they're so light. I started trial biking after I'd been BMXing for about 3 years but I prefer to BMX, trials is pretty dangerous, you'll see some people hopping along railings and stuff, fun to watch but dangerous to carry out.

EDIT: what sort of BMXing style are you gonna do? street (like grinds, bumps etc) or motocross (racing over jumps, turns) or something else?

    The key qustion is.
How much have you got to spend?
We just got aload of the new GT range in at work yesterday and i think its the GT bump. £229.99 its nearly all cromoly apart from the back triangle. 3 piece crank and two U brakes. Its a awesome bike for the price.
