    Default Question.

    Hello,

It has come to our attention that users are using an exploit (or not really an exploit) but a newly found tactic to log users out or change their skin. We are working on patching this immediately, I've been looking for a workaround and with Pyroka's help we have located a way to patch the issue, so big thanks to him, as well as for his help locating a certain phishing website.

Until the time that this is patched, any NEW redirect links (that is, links that change the user's skin / log them out etc by simply viewing the thread) will be met with a 24 hour ban. As we realize not all users may see this, it will not go on your record, it will simply be a punishment for those 24 hours, not too much to endure. Redirect links posted before this will be moved out of the public forums if you report them, however its not very fair to punish users who posted before this came into place.

If you create a new account simply to post redirects so that you don't get banned, your real account will get a ban of a week, more if you do it on multiple accounts.

I know it was harmless fun at one point but it is irritating many users and especially with the logout links it is making it very difficult for moderators and other staff members to do their jobs, as well as making it difficult for users to properly use the forums.

    Thanks for your cooperation!

How come in the past other rule changes that were implemented weren't dealt with in the same way, such as account trading/sharing?

Because with sharing it would be on-going.

Mostly because this rule isn't something that was thought of as against the rules. Account trading and sharing was illegal by Habbo and Runescape etc. It is also prohibited in the terms and conditions. This isn't against the Habbo Way, so I thought it would be fair to give a grace period.

I also use the account nvrspk on other computers.
