Default When you join a new sport

Why is it when you join a team sometimes you get the feeling that you are not welcome there. It has happened to me on a couple of occasions and I remember it took me almost 3 months to actually get a long with them all. I dunno, does this happen to anyone else?

This happened to me with my New football team. I have recently ended my "career" with my old team Waltham Cross, i have been with them for 5 seasons. Now i have signed up for Cheshunt, Semi-Pro, it feels great but when i first got there i stood on my own and trained basically on my own, and even now i still sometimes do mainly cos some mess around and i just stand there :S But they all talk to me now and i think all like me. I was suprised when i thought one of them didnt like me actually spoke to me like i was human again. Just be yourself and relax. If you show that your like this it will show negativity and people wont talk to you 'cos they'll be like "whats his/her problem"

Tip: Be yourself, relax, go out of your way to talk, dont be a ******* and talk to people how you want to be spoken to. If after a few weeks, its the same - bring a friend and stay with him/her sometimes a friend makes you more comfortable and makes you become yourself.
