Default Political views of TV shows

    Hi
Well in America you hear that Fox news are appearing to be a republican news show. I was wondering, shows such as GMTV and BBC Breakfast in Britain, do they have political views such as left or right wing, and if so what are they? Sorry if it sounds like I'm making no sense

I don't think it happens here. The BBC's charter sais it must be politically impartial at all times. I don't watch GMTV, so I wouldn't know, but I don't think so.

Newspapers do endorse parties though. The Sun for instance is traditionally Conservative.

I believe The Sun did support Labour during the last two elections.

The Daily Telegraph is pretty much 'The conservative newspaper', it's just right-wing propaganda, I don't understand how anyone who seriously wants a decent view of Politics can read it.

The Times is my favourite as it's pretty much neutral, during election times it will choose a party but it varies which one, like The Sun. I guess it's a little bit more right-wing because more of the readers are middle/upper class so it does tend to be a little right-wing sometimes.

The BBC are complete idiots though, they are Labour all over and have been so long, it's completely ridiculous, you get to choose your newspaper but when you pay £128 each year for a TV Licence you want unbiased news not the Labour Party broadcast. They're constantly picking up on small Conservative Hitches and manage to find the bright side of every Labour disaster.

They're often rude when interviewing Conservative politicians but seem to 'understand' the Labour one's.

Yeah the Sun used to back Conservatives but switched and claimed that they had swung it for Labour lol.

I think generally the media on TV are fairly left-wing... ie caring more about rights than things that work, believing in equality and generally not knowing anything about how things happen

GMTV is very pro-Labour, the conservative MPs are very much ripped to shreds whenever they are on there.

As the others have said The Sun is a left-wing tabloid.

Certain BBC panel shows swing different ways i.e. Mock The Week is very anti-conservative.
