    Default Mac on PC

I've seen a few people here and there with that.. I was thinking of putting it on mine.

Wondering what version my computer would support:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Hyperthreading (3.7GHz)
    Memory: 512MB DDR
    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce FX5600
    Sound: Soundblaster Pro MPU-401

    (Dell Dimension 8300)

Anyone have an idea what version to use, and any instructions?

with those specs I would go for a tiger version, as leopard works best with SSE3 and I'm not sure whether pentium 4 can do that.

osX86 is what you need to search for, guides for many things.

32bit is fine, just make sure you have SSE2 at least. SSE3 recommended.

http://www.osx86project.org/ <--- Both links are extremely useful, especially the forum.

I would go for Tiger on that spec

Wondering if I want to just remove XP all together, or dual boot Mac/XP.. any recommendations?

I think its easiest to use the XP bootloader, you would have to mess around with a darwin or GRUB loader without XP.

I've had no problems with Vista and OS X

Do you need XP? Is it doing something for you that a mac can't?
If both answers are no, then NAHH, you don't need XP. I have osx86 tiger on my desktop, suppose it's OK.

Hmm, thing is, I use XP for importing photos to my computer from my memory card reader (external), and I'm not sure if it will work with Mac.
