    Default reCAPTCHA or Captcha?

reCAPTCHA is really easy as it's words, but I'm not sure whether I should use it or not, and if so.. I'll use it on a registration form.

    Good or Bad idea?

Well reCAPTCHA works exactly the same as CAPTCHA, just in words not random characters.

reCAPTCHA is also easy to set up

I use my own captcha system, i simply have 5 random backgrounds with lines accross them then i use rand() to select one of them then a random 5 letter string is displayed on the image using GD and put in a session so it can be checked.
Lets set the stage on fire, and hollywood will be jealous.

I agree, but recaptcha is bulkier than Justin-lee-collins. (http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=...=1&sa=N&tab=wi)

recaptcha also helps archive old documents for some place in the world, can't remember where, im damn sure its recaptcha, basically the computer can't read it or something so they use it for recaptcha and people obviously type it out, im sure its that.

and its easier than captcha as tawm said
