Default X-Factor - makes me sad at x-mas

Ok i love the x-factor like as a show
but one thing that reallly annoys me about the show... is the christmas number one
the last few years the songs at christmas haven't been Christmassy if you know what i mean. like every year on the music channels you get the like top 20 christmas songs over the last so many years and they are all like christmas songs. like actually relate to christmas
now look at the songs the last few years at number one
    not christmassy at all
i know people readin this will b like ooo well but yanno it really annoys me.
    any opinions?
does anyone actually agree that it annoys them too?
or am i just being stupid in wanting a christmassy song for number one at christmas

Yeah I know what you mean. It doesn't really annoy me mind, they go straight to number one then we never here about them again. It would be nice to have a wicked christmas number one, which was related to christmas, I agree!

Well, although I agree with the fact that yes, the last 2 years has been X-factor winners, and it's annoying, there hasn't actually been that many Christmas-themed #1's in the past anyway; 8 or 9 I think.

    I've always loved the Christmas #1s :X
I loved 'Thats My Goal' and 'A Moment Like This' (which is kinda christmassy :X)

'When You Believe' was a hideous Xmas #1 though and the worse of the 21st Century

"When You Believe" was by far the worst. I think Leon was the worst winner too.

Also, I agree with starter thread.

It's only a dull song by some dime a dozen singer, nothing to get worked up about. It's not like the only thing you have to listen to is the no. 1 song.

it gets to number 1 so easily because it is advertised for months for one hour a week at prime time tv viewing.

Roy: [singing] We don't need no education.
Moss: Yes you do; you've just used a double negative
