    Default EBUYER.COM FAIL.

    Hi,
Im quite frustrated at ebuyer at this moment of time. I've spent a lot of time on the phone with them yesterday, sorting out setting up my account. i put the details though and i get an email the next day saying Irish credit cards are not accecpted.

Quote from the email i recived:
    Dear Kevin Boland,

Thank you for placing an order with Ebuyer.com.

However, during our routine security checks, our system has indicated that your debit/credit card is not registered in the UK. Unfortunately we are only able to accept UK registered debit/credit cards.

Your order has been converted to a quote or cancelled. In order for your order to be reinstated and completed you will need to register a UK issued debit/credit card to your Ebuyer account.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    Kind regards,

I was talking to a women on the phone, to find out if she could do anything for me, no she couldent at all, she just went on about how most people have a english registered card living in Ireland.

REVERSE here a second, an ENGLISH REGISTERED CARD, registered to an irish person? c'mon you must be having a joke, the amount of adverts you post on the site about how to order from ireland, and you expect them to have an english visa.

I then asked to speak to her supervisor, Who when i was talking to her, kept on telling me about the irish customers with the english card. then i said ok.... right but do you accecpt paypal, then she informed me that she did, 2 minutes of being on hold (IM GETTING CHARGED FOR By the way) she notified me we do not accept paypal any more.

Thats fabulous now, the research ive done into a monitor, order it and get notified the next day they cant process my card.

Well, to be honest this is one of the worst experences ive had with an online company, sorry i tried it to be honest

if you go to the payment methods page it does clearly say

"Please Note - We do not accept any card issued outside the UK. "

Yes. You can't blame eBuyer for not accepting your credit card. You can only blame the poor customer service on the phone.

Visa is a worldwide organisation, Sam, amagine your irish, your notified that they accecpt irish customers, and are willing to send the item there, you expect the company to accecpt your IRISH WORLDWIDE CARD . alot of irish people havent even been in england, and the holiday makers, why would they register a credit card in a forgin company, they wouldent because they can use there IRISH WORLDWIDE CARD to do anything in the uk.

it says issued outside the uk, if your card is issued from within the uk and you live in ireland I believe that would work.

By english cards they mean the cards were issued in england and sent to the owners who live in ireland.
