    Default What will preform better?

    These;
    a Core 2 Quad Q6700 4gb ram - XFX 8800GT (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135102)

    or

    a Core 2 Quad Q6600 4gb ram - Sapphire HD4850 (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145524)

    Alot of people have told me that the first would preform better game wise.

    Just like to see your opinion (RENEMBER FIRST IS Q6700 SECOND IS Q6600)

    First one, ATI's drivers are crap and the 6700 is faster than the 6600, even though you can overclock past the 6700 on the 6600.

    Thanks i'm getting the deal

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146594

    It's not bad for what i'll be getting, and it's actually cheaper and will preform better than the components i was going to buy then build

    I would go for the second one. The 4850 PWNS the 8800GT in every benchmark, and that's with dodgey drivers. And for the processors, you won't see a difference between 2.4Ghz and 2.66Ghz.

    I agree their support is rubbish, but in most cases you can't beat the price. However, if theres the option to get it from a more repututaive online store, i usually will get it from there for an extra few pounds.

    I also say the second option as the 4850 easily outperforms the 8800GT for a very similar price.
