I've never flown BMI but I found this website for you where people have made reviews for them
some of them are quite humourous

Flown with them this morning Durham tees valley - heathrow good service although plane was abit squashed as it as an emb 145

We flew home from Florida with BMI on the 25th August. We have also flown with them a few years ago.
All our trans-atlantic flights with BMI have been top class. Great staff, food, cleanliness and seats. I reccomend BMI for flights to the America, (in)directly.
