In line with our recent crackdown on posting to cause arguments, also known as "trolling," habboxforum launches its new initiative: Please do not feed the trolls!
As I'm sure everyone knows, a troll can be a royal pain in the backside when it comes to trying to have a discussion in a thread. A troll post can quickly turn a civil thread into a blazing row, causing the thread to be closed and everyone to be annoyed. The main message of the Please do not feed the trolls campaign is simple: ignore them! If a troll post is left to sit there unanswered it A: Makes the troll look pathetic and B: Discourages the troll. Instead, simply report the troll post and it will be removed along with an instant warning/infraction issued.
If there is someone on the forum who often wants to make you angry and cause arguments, add them to your ignore list here. (http://www.habboxforum.com/profile.php?do=ignorelist) This will hide all the posts the user makes so you don't have to read them.
If, however, a troll post is responded to and the thread turns into a trademark habboxforum argument, it will be closed with the message "Please do not feed the trolls!" This is a reminder to everyone to ignore any future troll posts to avoid the same thing happening again. With the co-operation of everyone, the problem can be stamped out and the perpatrators punished accordingly
