    Default lighttpd or apache

    Well i am still learning linux just got my new localhost box set up with linux (centos) now i need a httpd that is easy to install and use (meaning easy to put php and that to)

    So should install lighttpd or apache?

    apache has more tutorials, so id go with that so if you ever get stuck you can get a solution faster.
    How could this hapen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?lol.

    Ye i am going to go with apache the only thing is all the tuts i find on apache all say to install it using "yum install apache"

    but my centos want to install a old version of apache and i want the latest from the apache website and the same with php

    can some one help me find a good tut on how do to it anther why to get the latest version and install it or4 tell me how?

    Depends, normal site apache
    extreme scalablility lighttpd

    or if you just want better performance then use lighttpd
