Controllers For PS3

Okay, I can't really afford to buy some official PS3 controllers and I'm fed up of using the old PS2 controllers with a PS2 to PS3 controller adapter, is there anywhere where I can buy a third party controller from or a cheap controller that works on a PS3, wired or wireless? Would a normal USB controller for a PC for instance work on a PS3?
Would this USB controller work on a PS3?

didnt you get a controller with yuor console? and im not sure about that usb thing but my ps3 controller works on some games on my pc

I got 1 yeah, but when my mates come round we have to use old ps2 controllers with wires everywhere from the ps2 to ps3 controller adapters. I just need a few cheap USB controllers that would work on a PS3 to put in the USB ports.
