    Exclamation FileZilla Server Problems

I recently installed XAMPP. Everything is working fine except for that I can't get the FileZilla Server started. I'm running Vista Home Premium and I've heard that there are problems with that version of FileZilla with Vista so I decided to download the latest FileZilla Server (0.9.27) and installed it. It works fine and I can login to FTP and upload/download files etc etc on the host computer, but it won't login on my other computer.

I can access XAMPP from my other computer over the network (10.1.1.3) and everything is fine, but when I go to connect with the FTP to 10.1.1.3, it doesn't connect. I've tried turning my firewall off etc but nothing seems to work.

It would be much appreciated if someone would be able to solve this problem.

    Thanks,
    Chris.

I don't know the solution to this, but I'm sure it's something to do with it being vista. I have a similar problem with VNC that I am yet to resolve, something is blocking connections to the vista computer/laptop either through the internet or network. This is what's happening with your problem, and with mine, so I'd be interested to know the solution to this also.

And maybe this post has triggered an idea in some expert's head?
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

I'm pretty sure it's a firewall, in fact I'm more than 99.992% sure it is, I use FileZilla server and VNC (both tight and real) and they work fine for me, I use Vista.

Yeah i think it's the firewall. I'm dual booting XP and it runs fine on there so I just use XP when wanting to use it.
