Default Life on mars 'life like figure'

Does anyone remember this article of a photo taken on mars which shows a 'life like figure'? Im doing some research and im wondering if anyone knows if this was disproved or anything like that.

I remember this, one of the coolest photos ever taken in my opinion simply because of the controversy. It still hasnt been disproved and stands as whatever you see in it.

Are they allowed to put remarks like "Or Osama Bin Laden waving from his barren hideout 300 million miles from planet earth?" that in news reports?!

No wonder America is targetted most of the time..

Seems interesting though, it's probably a rock.

It looks like bigfoot. Why are people's immediate reaction "alien"; because it's anthropomorphic? It could be absolutely anything... most likely a rock, or a big rock. Or if your imagine is very wild: a collection of rocks.
