    Default HOW TO ACTIVATE MS OFFICE 2007

    I shall take no credit for this work, as I found it in a thread and I decided to post here as its usefull.

    1. Go to start and Click Run...

    2. In the run box type... "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\Proof.en"

    3. You should now see a file named Proof.XML

    4. Right click the file and select open with notepad.

    5. After opening the file with notepad scroll down to the the bottom.

    6. You should see lines like this...

    7. </Feature> <Feature Id="SetupXmlFiles" Cost="1248">
    <OptionRef Id="AlwaysInstalled"/>
    </Feature>

    8. Just change the line AlwaysInstalled with neverInstalled retaining the quotes...

    9. Save the file and u are ready to go...

    10. Now just open Word and it should not ask you for any activation...

    11. Make sure you do not do any kind of update...
    Enjoy using Microsoft Office 2007

    I hate that method, easily patched for one thing.

    I just use a keygen for the key then get the WGA patch files.

    How is a 15 year old meant to afford Photoshop or MS Office?

    Think about it realisticly, who is going to spend £80 on something you can get for free.
    Lets set the stage on fire, and hollywood will be jealous.

    Enterprise edition + keygen + OGA (office genuine advantage) patch files (not WGA as that's windows genuine advantage to whoever said that above.)

    Why is my thread turning into a "Downloading is stupid" thread?
