    Hey,

Basically i have my main computer, family computer as i call it
(For use by my parents ect)

And i have my own personal laptop ( only i use it)

    anyways,
What i want to do is to have some sort of network set up/remote assistance, and bring files across computers ect.

I have wireless broadband, so hopfully ill be able to do so through that.

What do i need to know about it, or what programs do i need to install

ALSO applogies if i got any of my info wrong up there, im new to the whole networking situation, and would like to learn about it.

    Hey!

I will briefly explain it, you might need to google how to do the things:

    - Right click on the folder and select Properties. Select "sharing" and select the folder you want to share between your computers.

    - On the OTHER computer, go into my computer and type in //COMPUTERNAME/ (replace COMPUTERNAME with the computers name - to find right click on my computer and click properties).

    - You should be able to see the folder you setup to share.

As for the remote assistance, install LogMeIn on the computers. With this you can connect to the computers from anywhere in the world as long as they are switched on.

TeamViewer is more of a remote support feature, you need to input that computers password and ID each time you want to use it. The ID and password sometimes automatically changed, so you need to go to that computer and grab that data again. LogMeIn is designed for accessing your computers, you just need to login and click on the computer.
