Why would anyone join a forum because it has a load of spam bot posts on it? :S

No, i'll ban all of em at lyk 1k members then reset the categorys.

If you want my advice (and you do), it's not to bother with the spam bots
You'll struggle to get any members at all if your forum is full of spam, let alone 1000! How about spending your time coming up with more interesting ideas to attract members?

Disable the posting limits (time inbetween posts) and make an ajax script to grab the security token, post using it and call itself.

What the point of that??? After they sign up they will just become inactive and leave due to spam bots and no new mambers and they post on better forums about how you use bots no one else comes and then your left with that and 1000 inactive users. If you do get 1000 bots you will be waiting along time to get that many real members
